Reception is open from April 15 to September 30, at the following times:
- Morning: 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Afternoon: 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Late arrivals are possible up to 10 pm on request. Please contact us in advance to arrange your arrival.

Camping l’Estela is located in the southern Auvergne, just a stone’s throw from the Ardèche, at the foot of the Mézenc-Gerbier massif, close to the source of the Loire and 20 km from Le Puy-en-Velay. Located on the Chemin de Stevenson (GR70), 800 m below the village of Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille, it is easily accessible by various means of transport.
By car :
- From Lyon: approx. 1 h 45 via the A47, then the N88 towards Le Puy-en-Velay, then the D535 towards Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille ;
- From Clermont-Ferrand: approx. 1 h 45 via the A75 then the N102 towards Le Puy-en-Velay ;
- From Saint-Étienne: about 1 h 15 via the N88 towards Le Puy-en-Velay ;
- From Valence: approx. 1 h 30 via the N86 then the N102.
Free parking is available on the campsite grounds. A vehicle storage service is also available for hikers on the Stevenson trail.
By train:
The nearest station is Le Puy-en-Velay, with services from Lyon, Saint-Étienne and Clermont-Ferrand. From the station, Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille is accessible by car (20 minutes) or bus. Contact us to organize your transfer.
By plane:
The nearest airport is Saint-Étienne – Bouthéon, around 1 h away. The Lyon-Saint-Exupéry (approx. 2 h) and Clermont-Ferrand – Aulnat (approx. 2 h) airports offer further connections.
